Girls Varsity Softball · Lady Eagles Varsity Softball begin league play with an 18-5 victory over Southlands Christian

The Lady Eagles defeated Southlands Christian 18-5 on Wednesday. Southlands Christian got things started in the first inning. #13 Galindo doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. ECHS then pulled away for good with eight runs in the second inning. In the second Ashley Arce singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. Arce finished the day leading the Lady Eagles in hits, going three for three at the plate.  Tori Marvel led things off in the pitcher’s circle for the Lady Eagles. She went five innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits, striking out nine and walking zero. Tori went for the long ball in the third inning for a grand slam.

The Lady Eagles (6-1 overall, 1-0 in league) have their next league game Friday at home versus Saddleback Valley Christian at a 6pm.
